Holland’s fabeled floral splendor happens only in the spring. During this time the low countries (Holland, Belgium and Luxemborg) burst forth with rainbow-like colors. For the traveling garden photographer this is an idyllic opportunity to explore the romance of the Golden Age in a modern way.

Join this month’s speakers John and Kathy Wilson to learn how to pack, what to take, and where to go to see and photograph the markets, the gardens and the flower fields in this region. John and Kathy Wilson are founders of Swede Hill Dahlia Sunflower Farm, a popular Whidbey Island Nursery specializing in field grown and greenhouse dahlias and sunflowers.

Award-winning photographers while with the Boeing Museum of Flight, John and his wife Kathy are widely published. Their images ahve appeared on many greeting cards, and in books and magazines – most recently on the cover of the Nikon World International Calendar. Currently, the Wilsons are working on a couple of gardening books and exploring ways to utilize photography as another ‘gardening tool’.
