Great Plant Picks
Monday, May 20th, 7pm – 9pm
NHS Hall Section A, Center for Urban Horticulture, 3501 NE 41st St. Seattle, WA 98105 Map
This years “Great Plant Picks” deals with over 200 great plants for small gardens. Expert Linda Urbaniak has picked out some of her favorites from the list.
Linda Urbaniak was a docent at Bellevue Botanical garden for 13 years, and as such was one of the teachers of new docents. She has been a garden writer for about 20 years and has articles published in Pacific Horticulture, the now defunct Master Gardener magazine, Northwest Primetime and in newsletters for Northwest Horticultural Society, Bellevue Botanical Garden, and RSVP newsletter. She was the garden columnist for the Mercer Island Reporter for several years before they discontinued the column and wrote the garden column for the Selah Independent until it also closed. She planted her first garden when she was 6 and has made just about all the mistakes you can make in her gardening learning experience. Linda is moving East of the mountains this summer, so will now have the opportunity to make a whole bunch of more mistakes in zone 5.
