Fuchsia Sale – CUH – Saturday April 6

Fuchsia denticulata - William Jackson Hooker

Fuchsia denticulata – William Jackson Hooker

The annual Fuchsia Sale will be Saturday April 6 at CUH, from 9 AM to 1:00 PM.  This is a big sale where large growers bring a big selection of plants, mostly small starts but some larger ones also.  It has one of the best selection of fuchsias sold in the area.  The plants are usually identified with photos and signs, and are organized so hardy, tender, upright and trailing plants are usually separated.  In addition, there are usually selections of species fuchsias, encliandras (with tiny flowers), and triphyllas (with long, tubular flowers).  There are always experts around to guide people through the sometimes rather daunting selection.  Although fuchsias are the main attraction,  there are usually a few other genera for sale as well.
